Slow Cooker Apple Cranberry Crisp
This apple cranberry crisp made in a slow cooker is a comforting dessert. It has a crunchy oat crumble on top and is made with fresh cranberries and sliced apples.
Ingredients:
- 6 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, fresh cranberries, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt
In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, and cubed butter until crumbly
Spread half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a greased slow cooker
Top with the apple-cranberry mixture, then sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the top
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until apples are tender
Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream
