Hamburger Kebabs with Fresh Red Chutney with Almonds
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup almond slices
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions:
Ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, grated cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl
Well mix until all the ingredients are mixed together evenly
Cut the mixture into equal parts and use the wooden skewers to shape the parts into hamburger patties or kebabs
Set your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat and oil the grates so that food doesn't stick
The kebabs should be cooked for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the doneness you like
Toast the almond slices in a dry pan until they turn golden brown while the kebabs are cooking
Take the kebabs off the grill and top them with toasted almond slices
While the kebabs are still hot, serve them with fresh red chutney and almonds on the side
