Slow Cooker Hot Apple Pie Dip
This apple pie dip made in a slow cooker tastes like warm apple pie. It looks great at parties or on a cozy night in.
Ingredients:
- 8 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
Instructions:
Diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, water, and lemon juice should all be put in a slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for two to three hours, stirring every now and then, until the apples are soft
Put powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cream cheese in a bowl and mix them together until the mixture is smooth
Spread the cream cheese mixture out evenly on the bottom of a serving dish
If the dish can handle heat, you can keep it in the slow cooker
Place the cooked apple mix on top of the cream cheese layer
If you want, you can sprinkle chopped nuts on top after adding the caramel sauce
Warm it up and dip graham crackers, pretzels, or apple slices in it
